HOME DECOR, MY FLOWER JOURNAL

CREATE AN EASY ROSE VIGNETTE!

Decorating with roses is such a treat and is so simple! I’m looking forward to sharing an easy way to create an eye-catching rose vignette. A vignette is a small grouping of objects that creates a pleasing focal point.

The Inspiration

Princess Alexandra of Kent is a pretty rose that grows in my garden. See my post here for more information on this particular rose. While I used this rose for the vignette, it’s easy to create a similar one with roses or other flowers that inspire you!!

Pink Roses

Colors

  • Pink
  • Green

These flowers have such a spectacular coloring that only a few blooms are needed to make a BIG impact. I added hints of green into the vase to finish out the look.

Flowers

  • 5 pink roses – If you love this particular rose, you might be able to order it from Grace Rose Farm. They have the most beautiful roses!
  • 3 sprigs of asparagus fern

Vase and Supplies

  • Glass votive holder as a vase. This one was from Pottery Barn.
  • Small glass jar used inside the votive holder filled with water.
  • Floral preservative to make the flowers last longer.
  • Floral Scissors. I use this one from Amazon.

For this vignette, I chose a smaller glass votive holder. Thinking creatively and re-using items that you already have at home is fun! This glass votive holder is white with silver undertones. It’s perfect for bringing out the pink hues of the flowers! Since this is a small arrangement, and the top of the vase is narrow, I didn’t need flower frogs, wires or floral foam.

Fill a smaller jar with water and place inside the votive holder if desired. This would help prevent damage to the votive holder if it’s delicate. Floral preservative can be added to keep the flowers fresh longer.

Rose Decor

Once the flowers are in the vase, take a look at it from all sides, and fill in any spaces by slightly tweaking the placement of the flowers. I used a combination of fully open flowers and some that were half open to balance out the arrangement.

How to Create the Vignette

  • Flower Arrangement from above
  • Silver tray
  • Purple three wick candle
  • Rose petals (Optional)

I have a beautiful silver tray which was a wedding present from a friend. It is works really well to anchor vignette! The vase looks amazing on it!! If you don’t have silver tray like this one you might be able to use a plate or charger to create a similar look!

Adding a candle helps finish out the setting! The candle is from Bath and Bodyworks. It has a heavenly fragrance that complements the scent of the flowers. I added some rose petals on the tray but it’s optional as the rose petals will only last for a day. It’s an eye-catching option if you have company over and need to just have it for a few hours.

Easy Rose Vignette setup

The roses in the vase will last for a few days but the flower preservative will help keep it fresh longer. I tucked in a few ferns into the vase to finish out the arrangement! Place the vignette on a coffee table or even as a centerpiece on your dining table!

I hope you enjoy decorating with flowers as much as I do! As you create this beautiful flower arrangement, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!! Please support me by subscribing to the blog for more home and gardening tips, pin on Pinterest, and share with friends!
