CREATE A FOURTH OF JULY TABLESCAPE

July fourth is just around the corner! If you are hosting family and friends here is a simple way to create a fourth of July tablescape. This year, I decided to use paper plates so the clean-up after is a breeze. I’m sure these simple tips will help you create a beautiful table too!

Start by selecting a color palette for your tablescape. Since this is a July Fourth table, I thought it was fitting to incorporate red, white, and blue elements. I found these amazing paper plates that have the perfect coloring for the look I wanted to create. I wish the weather was better so we could sit outside but since it’s so hot I decided to set the table indoors.

The placemats work so well with this place setting as it adds a hint of neutrality to the vibrant plates. The bamboo cutlery is just the perfect disposable option to complete the look and help you avoid washing the dishes! The bamboo cutlery is available in our store. Click here.

When I first put this table together I didn’t have a runner on top of the white table cloth but it just looked a bit bare. Layering on a runner made a difference to the overall look of the table. Take a look at the image below to see the table with the runner and you’ll see the difference.

A few lanterns on the table add to the beachy vibe of this table. Most of the little tea lights are from the dollar store. I bought these a while ago and was so happy to be able to use them. The bigger lanterns are from Pottery Barn. They aren’t available anymore but they do have so many other pretty options.

As always flowers are a large part of my decor aesthetic. I selected locally grown flowers that are in season. The flowers consist of a mix of the following.

  • Feverfew
  • Scabiosa
  • Statice
  • Yarrow
  • Grape Leaves

Once you have put all the beautiful elements together, take a moment to look at the table from all sides, to make sure everything looks great. I hope you feel confident hosting with a beautiful table! Have a wonderful fourth of July and enjoy your holiday.
